The K O Ranch, located along Kill Creek in Osborne County, Kansas, was established by the Koelling family in 1878. The families’ tradition, along with experience of producing fine quality beef, goes back five generations. The ranch raises beef without the use of growth implants, hormones, steroids or antibiotics mixed into the feeding ration. Using this process means that the beef must remain on feed longer than normal, thus producing more tender cuts of meat. Beef that is grain fed longer and aged longer, produces a product of great quality and tenderness normally only available in ranchers’ homes, or at the finest restaurants. The quality of beef from this ranch no longer deteriorates from the usual process of being handled by several middleman.
